Getting Ready for your Appointment

Fill out the Intake Form (PDF) and e-mail it to or bring it to your first appointment.

This will include a brief description of your current issue as well as your medical history. Please fill out with as much detail as possible.

Before your appointment, please eat something substantial within 2 hours before your treatment.

It is important to have something in your stomach to ensure proper blood sugar levels and to give you energy for the treatment itself.

Wear comfortable clothes that can be easily rolled up to the elbows and knees. Also something that allows easy access to your stomach and back (a tank top works well).

Because the tongue is routinely examined as part of Chinese diagnosis, please do not brush your tongue or discolour it with hard candy, cough drops, tea or coffee within three hours of your appointment.

You may feel quite relaxed after your treatment and at times it can be quite difficult to focus on “heavy” subjects. Try to play around this on the day of your first treatment.
